Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Price Your Build at https://priceyourbuild.co.za. By using the website, creating an account or purchasing access, you agree to these terms.
1. The service
Price Your Build provides an online residential-building planning tool. The free estimator provides a Project Economics Summary, including indicative structural cost, project allowances and risk, a grand total estimate and cost distribution.
Paid access unlocks additional tools, which may include detailed cost schedules, bill-of-quantities outputs, downloadable reports, project saving and editing controls, and generated project images.
The service is intended for early-stage planning. All outputs remain subject to the Disclaimer.
2. Free estimator
You may use the free estimator without payment, subject to these terms. The free estimator provides limited output and does not provide the full bill of quantities, detailed cost schedule, downloadable report, saved-project controls or image-generation allowance available to paid users.
We may change, limit, suspend or discontinue free features where reasonably necessary to operate, improve, secure or maintain the service.
3. Paid access
You may choose one of the following 30-day access packages:
Price Your Build Home — R199
Includes up to three saved project slots, with up to 10 detailed-report revisions and up to three generated project images per project.
Price Your Build Builder — R499
Includes up to 10 saved project slots, with up to 10 detailed-report revisions and up to three generated project images per project.
Both packages include detailed bill-of-quantities and cost-schedule outputs, downloadable PDF reports, project controls and planning detail, and comparison of owner-managed and main-contractor delivery routes.
Access begins when payment is successfully confirmed and ends 30 days later. There is no automatic renewal. After the active period ends, you retain access to your saved projects and previously issued reports for the applicable retention period, but cannot make further changes or issue new revisions until access is renewed.
4. Saved-project retention
For paid users, saved-project data is retained for one year after the end of your most recent valid paid-access period. After that period, we may permanently delete the project data from our systems.
You are responsible for downloading or otherwise retaining any report or information you wish to keep before the retention period expires.
5. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate account information and keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.
Your login session may remain active for up to 30 days. You must tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
We may suspend or close an account where we reasonably believe there has been fraud, abuse, unauthorised sharing, unlawful activity, security risk or a breach of these terms.
6. Payments, cancellations and refunds
Payments are processed through the payment method made available at checkout. You must ensure that the payment information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to use it.
Because paid access is supplied immediately after payment, refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to applicable law. Your statutory consumer rights are not limited by these terms.

7. Acceptable use
You may use Price Your Build only for lawful personal or business planning purposes.
You may not:
- Copy, scrape, reverse-engineer, interfere with or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform;
- Resell, redistribute or commercially exploit reports, calculations or generated images as a competing service;
- Share paid access with others outside your own household or business team;
- Upload or enter unlawful, harmful or infringing material; or
- Use the service in a way that could damage, disrupt or overload it.
8. Intellectual property
Price Your Build, its content, design, software, branding, calculations and reports are owned by or licensed to Price Your Build and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may use your project outputs for your own planning purposes. You may not reproduce, sell, publish or distribute the platform or its underlying content without written permission.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the platform available and functioning well, but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or permanent availability.
We may update the platform, rates, features, terms or access arrangements from time to time. Material changes will take effect when posted on the website, unless a different notice period is required by law.
10. Limitation of liability
The service is provided for planning support and is subject to the Disclaimer. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Price Your Build is not liable for indirect, consequential or financial loss arising from use of the platform or reliance on its outputs.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability or consumer right that may not lawfully be limited.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
